The Global Innovative Institute is established by the Lifelong Education College of Shanghai Jiaotong University, aiming at developing an integrative, innovative and internationalized multi-subject life-long education system that serves the country's key strategies and engages with the emerging industries.
Centering on industrial innovation scientific innovation, managerial innovation and design innovation, the institute commits itself to building up the Global Innovative Curricular System and creating the brand new non-degree education mode in China by resorting to the educational resources of the best quality around the world in order to be of service for the country's innovation-driven development strategy.
Depending on SJTU's academic strength, research institutes and State key laboratories, the Global Innovative Institute set out to establish the universal paradigm of non-degree education on a par with world-class universities, coming up with Non-degree Education Version 4.0 that incorporates training, consultation, think tank and global solution plans and focuses on the frontier of international scientific research, the economic key zone, the critical national demands and the general public's health care. The institute has established Carbon Neutrality and Industrial Innovation Center, Rural Vitalization and Government Enterprise Coordinative Center, International Education Innovation Center, etc. The centers launch high-end trainings in key economic zones, providing consultation services to the government and enterprises, creating and promoting industrial think tank, and ultimately forming the global solution plans.
Adhering to fulfilling the strategic requirement of "Taking Innovation as the Primary Force Guiding Development", the institute dares to be the first and strides without turning back, integrating SJTU's non-degree educational resources comprehensively, creating the brand new non-degree education mode in China, and ultimately developing the universal innovative paradigm with Chinese characteristics.
